| You can try amazon.com. I just bought it for $35/new. After reading that some individuals spent money on the Learning system, attending study sessions and still did not pass, I think I will try this Bogardus book (which has been a success from what Im reading) and try to pass it that way. Your local SHRM chapter should have free study groups as well and can break the study group cirriculum down my modules. |

| HI, my class for prep actually starts next month Oct. 11th. I started the class and was registered for the exam earlier in the year as well but, got scared and didn't finish the class nor did I take the exam. I'd love a study partner. I don't have anyone else that understands what I'm freaking out about with this exam. I live in Woodbridge, VA are you anywhere near? I'm due to take the exam again now registered for the Dec-Jan time.

Good day!!
I am very embarrassed to admit that I have no clue about the PHR/SPHR exam at all. I am thinking to take SPHR exam in early 2009. Will 2008 study materials work for 2009 exam? I really need some guidance on preparing the exam. Thank you.

| I am taking the PHR December 5th in Oregon. There is an online study group going at: http://www.hrcertification.info/forum. We have about 15 members sitting for the PHR & SPHR in Dec & January of 2008. We meet sundays at 3pm central time. I have Bogardus, HR Management by Buhler, and the 2007 SHRM practice tests and flashcards. So far my practice tests are running about 75-85% correct. I study 5 days a week and started studying in late July. I am not a SHRM member any more and did not want to invest $1500 in the community college class. |

I recently used the video training course featured at
http://www.phrsphrtraining.com
Its hard to find good training materials for the sphr exam, it was difficult also but I passed. The specific facts you need to know about certain laws and Federal Acts can be tricky. |
