Well, I scored a 631. Seriously felt like a guessing game much of the time, must have known more than I thought, and maybe the SHRM system was better than I thought.
Good luck everyone. My advice to pass. Wait until the last minute to study and play some video games. ;)

Hi,
I am taking the test in Dec. I just found out my husband and I are expecting in April, so I really need to start so I can at least take the test in Jan at the latest. I have read the thread and looking to purchase the HRCP system this month, (or SHRM learning system) so I can start studying right away. My B.S. is in BUS Admin and I took quite a few HR classes. I wanted to also hear how others are doing in finding HR jobs since taking the test. Especially those who have never practiced HR. Thanks! Good luck to everyone!

| I found that taking as many practice tests as possible was the best way to prepare for the actual exam. I used the following resources:
- www.HRCIstudy.com (Free 225 question practice test)
- www.PHRprep.com (Test bank of 500+ questions for $25.99
- "PHR/SPHR Practice Test" book availabe on Amazon.com |

| I am testing in December-January 10 for the PHR test. Is it better to schedule the test on the last day of the window? Is there anyone in Manning or Sumter SC who wants to start a study group? Plan to take the 12 week course at the local tec college in Columbia, tuition includes the SHRM learning system, i am so nervous about this test and need/want to pass the first time around. I have been taking practice test every night until class starts in September. Any other pointers?? |

| I passed the exam Jan 2007. At the time, I had only limited experience as a corporate recruiter. I found, Anne Bogardus Study Guide to be very helpful. I never used any of the materials suggested by SHRM. |

Hi All,
I'm not sure if anyone is still in need but I have the 2008 HRCP Program booklets available for sale. All in excellent condition and only books 1 and 2 have some notes/underlining on them. Email me with an offer if you are interested (sergior423@gmail.com). This is a $250-300 value ($345 but does not include flash cards or online login since its under my name) but I am looking for about $200. I will pay for shipping and handling, depending on the negotiated price.
Thanks!

| I am planning on taking the PHR in the winter testing window and wondered if there was anyone who took it in the spring. I was hoping you could share some studying tips and anything you learned from the test that might be helpful. |

Hey, All -
I had an unfortunate incident to occur where my SHRM Learning System was damaged/destroyed.
I don't have it in me to fork over that kind of cash for another system. I am scheduled to take the exam in late January 2010.
I was hoping that there was someone who would allow me to rent, borrow or come to some type of arrangement to do a quick cramming session for my upcoming exam? I can Paypal you a payment immediately, even send a prepaid FedEx label to cover shipping. Can you tell that I'm serious and desperate? How effective is the cd without the books?
If you are interested in coming to some type of agreement for your system, please email me @ twilson216@comcast.net.
I appreciate your consideration.
Thanks,
Teresa |

| Hi.
I'm looking to rent, borrow or buy someone's 2008 or 2009 SHRM Learning System. I'm scheduled to take the exam on January 23, 2010.I purchased one but it was recently damaged/severely destroyed in an accident.
I don't have it in me to fork over all that money for another system. If anyone will allow me to rent, borrow or buy (at a really reasonable price) or is open to negotiations, please email me at twilson216@comcast.net.
I really appreciate your consideration. |

| I've heard of the SHRM Learning system (too expensive), and HRCP (which seems like a good alternative. I was wondering if anyone knew about http://www.phrsphrtraining.com/? The PHR/SPHR prep system is $199. Can anyone comment on this? I plan to take the test in June. |
