| The SHRM learnings sytem to me was very helpful because I was a 1st time test taker. I just passed today and I so happy. I used the learning system, Professional in Human Resources certification by Anne Borgadus and http://www.phrprep.com/Default.aspx
I answered as many questions as I could and avoided memorizing. Just basically understanding the concepts and being able to apply them. I am not sure of the sites you have mentioned since I did not use them. By the way, do not panic about the test, being a 1st time taker I thought is it is this big monster, I just found out if you study well, you should be able to pass.May God give you grace to be able to study and pass. |

| T, I don't think it's a good idea. I've seen a LOT of spam by the PHRSPHR people, and I've heard that their stuff isn't that good. I haven't used it personally, but I certainly wouldn't buy it if I was taking the exam this time around.

| I took the PHR exam on Jan 28th and did not pass... I refuse to go through the SHRM books again so I purchsed the PHR/SPHR by Anne M. Bogardus for $59.99. The book is easy to read. It gives you real world scenarios for practical insights into HR,chapter review questions, exams on PHR and SPHR,and a CD that allow you to PDF the entire book...This book is so much better than the SHRM material...I take the PHR test again in May...This time I will be better prepared. |

Hello everybody. I am happy to announce that I passed my PHR exam today. The only study material I used was the SHRM Learning System 2010, which did an good job in preparing me for the exam. I didn't purchase or use any additional books or practice exams.
With that said, I am selling my SHRM Learning System 2010. It is the most updated edition. It's an incredibly easy read. You will get every single thing I bought -- all the books, the CD, even the original box it came in. I saved the box because I knew I'd sell it the day I passed the exam! And I'm sure who ever buys it will sell it after they pass their exam for the amount he/she buys it for.

| 3 of us took the 2010 PHR today June 29, 2010 and June 28. Both the lady with 20 years HR experience and I said after the test --70 percent of the test was NOT even covered in the SHRM guides that cost $800 dollars. I passed she failed. She also did Ann B's book and HRCI. I did SHRM and HRCI. But almost nothing from those sources was on the test. I am not even happy about passing because it was just due to guess work not all the MONTHS of serious study I put in and she even put in more. The questions are vague and the answers are nothing you read in your books, or nothing like your practice exams. Experience dosn't count because she had 20 years experience. The only way I passed was to put my HR knowledge aside and think like a business owner. At question 60 I wanted to go ask if they had loaded the right test. |

I used the SHRM system and passed on 1/31. I have the full 2010 SHRM materials in great condition (I did not write in the books with the exception of hi-lighting the page numbers in one book). I also have some valuable study tips and material to help you pass. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing this.

I passed the PHR today, first try!! I have my BA with my major as HR Management. I used the Certgear software, tested on that multiple times. I also purchased the 100 question test from hrcp.com and their flash cards. I also read the book PHR/SPHR Study Guide by Anne Bogardus. I did all of this hardcore for about a month. I am so happy I passed and so happy I didn't spend over $1000 for the SHRM study system and class. You can do it if you really set aside time and study. Good luck to those taking the test in the future!
