Hello,
I took the prep course through Villanova in fall 2005 and passed the PHR test on the first try in Jan 06. Working in government I would have had a hard time without the course as much of the info in SHRM and HRCI applies more to the private sector. I beleive that the SPHR exam has a bit more emphasis on Strategic Planning and Labor Relations than the PHR exam. I also found an on-line practice exam that I took (for a fee). I scored pretty well on this so it boosted my confidence. I printed it out and went over it several times in preparation for the actual exam. Hope this helps. Good luck! |
